    INFOSYS INTERVIEW PROCESES

  • Pragyan

  • Company Name : Infosys

    Type : Fresher, Job Interview
Hi all. This is rizwan from hindustan university, chennai. We had infosys campus recruitment on Dec 10, 2010. Totally 273 appeared, finally 81 got selected and i m one among them. I want to share my experience with u all.

    There are 2 rounds.
    1.Written Test(Reasoning and Verbal)
    2.HR interview.

    1. Written Test.: It had two parts. One is Reasoning paper(includes analytical, Logical,Non verbal,Arithmetic)-40 mins and the other is Verbal paper-35 mins. In the first paper there were 30 questions which has to be answered in 40 mins. The pattern usually they follow is given below.

    Reasoning paper:
(1-5) - Figure continuation -It is there in R.S.Aggarwal Non-verbal reasoning book. It is enough if u study that.

(6-10) - Logical reasoning -here they gave an incomplete table and also some clues to fill that followed by five questions from that table.(slightly confusing).

(11-15) - Data Sufficiency -it is enough to practice this from R.S Aggarwal Quantitative Aptitude book.Try to practice all questions of that.

(16-20) - Data interpretation -Quantitative Aptitude by R.S.Aggarwal is enough.

(21-25) - Logical reasoning -here they gave a para are asked 5 questions from that. The para may be slightly confusing, but it will be easy if u solve more like that.

(26-30) - sylllogism. -guys this is the easiest of all questions. In that go to verbal reasoning part. Syllogism will be there.. U will understand easily. There is no other easy way than this.

    Verbal Ability paper:

This second paper contains 40 questions and has to be answered within 35 mins. Basic english knowledge is very essential. Time management also plays a crucial role. So u have to read it as soon as possible at that same time u should understand what is given in that. The pattern is as follows.

(1-10) - Sentence Correction -easy if u have basic grammar skills

(11-20) - Theme detection -practice from verbal Reasoning by R.S.Aggarwal. In this a passage wil be given from that u have to find the main theme of it.

(21-30) - Sentence Completion -this will be like fill in the blanks from the given choices which we did in our school days but u should know the meaning of the words which are given because some complex words will also be there.

(31-40) - Reading passage and answering questions -this is the time consuming part, Do this at last.
Guys, it is not mandatory that they will ask questions based on the above pattern. There may be slight changes in the arrangement of questions other than that the number of questions are same. they may ask some puzzles instead of figure continuation.

    2.HR interview
I cleared the written test. They called the names for the interview based on certain ranking. i was extremely happy when i was called 4th. Immediately i was sent to the HR interview as i was in the top order. I entered the room. The HR was a lady who was slightly old.

Questions she asked me for the HR interview:
    -tel me about utself
    -ur family background
    -tel me about ur project
    -ur experience from college life
-Most unforgettable moment in college life,
-If ur marks are in decreasing order, then they will ask why is it so? Be ready for this .
-extra-curricular activities. and some common questions which can be answered at that instant.
And she finally asked me whether i have any questions for them. so be prepare with one or two questions regarding the company. U should ask question at that time. This will show ur interest in the company.
The HR interview got over for all the 86 persons. And finally 81 were selected. i m extemely happy that i m one of them. It was an unforgettable moment in my life. All The best for u guys. Meet U at infy....!
